The Kildare Language Institute (KLI) is renowned for its academic excellence in the teaching and learning of English as a Second Language. All our teachers are highly qualified, university graduate native speakers with years of experience teaching English as a Second Language. As well as providing you with the highest standards of teaching we remain committed to ensuring that each student studies in a friendly, caring and supportive environment.

The Kildare Language Institute (KLI) offers an extensive range of English language courses including: Standard English, Intensive English, Business English, English for Special Purposes, as well as English for international exams such as Cambridge and IELTS. Junior Courses and Adult Courses are taught separately.

General Course Content:

Each course is specifically structured with clear aims and objectives to ensure that each student makes significant progress on a daily basis. All core areas are covered – Writing, Speaking, Listening, Reading, Vocabulary, Grammar, Pronunciation as well as lots lots more. Students attending classes at the Kildare Language Institute also receive superior quality copyright notes. At all levels, great emphasis is placed on becoming more confident speaking the language.

Various teaching techniques and stimuli are used to further enhance learning. Classes are taught in an interactive and relaxed atmosphere where students are encouraged to ask questions and participate fully in class.

Course Options:

Option A: Standard Course (15 hours per week)
Option B: Intensive Course (20 hours per week)

Course Hours:

Option A: 9.30 – 12.30 (Monday to Friday)
Option B: 9.00 – 13.00 (Monday to Friday)

Class duration: Each lesson is of 55 minutes duration.

Class Size: The number of students per class is limited to ensure greater interaction and enhanced learning. Average class size is 12 students with an absolute maximum of 15 students in each class.

Class Placement on the First Day: Before students start English classes they do a short written exam in order to ascertain the appropriate English level for the student. A minimum of 6 students is required for a level to begin.

Our Teachers: All our teachers are highly qualified, university graduate native speakers with years of experience teaching English as a Second Language. All our staff are friendly and approachable and enjoy an excellent rapport with students. Our teaching approach is 100% student centred. We believe in a strong teaching and learning environment – that is why we use various teaching techniques and stimuli to further enhance learning. Students are encouraged to ask questions and participate fully in class.

Assessment: Each student is assessed weekly by way of a written and/or oral exam in order to ensure that each he/she is making significant progress on a weekly basis.

Online Student System: All registered Kildare Language Institute Students are given a secure password to check out their attendance, exam results, teacher comments, Institute calendar and lots lots more online. In addition, for parents / guardians of students under the age of 18, parents / guardians may also avail of a Parent / Guardian Online Account to access their son’s / daughter’s attendance records, exam grades, teacher comments and so much more. Certificate: Upon successful completion of a course each student receives an official certificate certified by the Kildare Language Institute. In addition, each student also receives a detailed Progress Report. Certificates of Attendance are also available on request.
